Audi Navigation Plus system problem
Hi there.
I'm new here and was given this link by someone on an Audi Forum.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me.
I bought a 2001 RS4 Avant about 8 weeks ago.
It has this satnav plus system in it and it says it's RNS 4.1 version. Not sure if that refers to the firmware or the actual physical system.
Any the way, I have the latest software update from audi installed as I downloaded some info from a web site with instruction on how to check and update the internal software.
All this been done I still have a problem!
I got a 2002 Blaupunkt CD-ROM with the car. all of which is a DX version of the software for the RNS4.x system. I bought a newer (2006/2007) genuine copy off someone from eBay that was still shrink wrapped. It says it has detailed street maps and postcode entry etc. All the things the 2002 version does not have.
I stick the CD in and it says updating software etc... but when the Navigation software properly boots up, it just looks exactly the same and run exactly the same, the maps are all old and the interface is still the old one. Nothing is different. The software version shown in "system" is still the same.
I must be doing something wrong as it says in the box it's for my RNS4.x system etc...
Anyone got any idea? I'd be most gratefull for any input!
All the best
Dave.
