RNS510: Coding for Sound System
So I have installed OEM Sound System (10 channel amp & active cross-over) in my 2006 (mk5) Jetta. I wanted to code RNS510 for it and I am confused:
Byte 01 Sound System Correction
00 Sound System not installed
01 Volkswagen Sound System
02 Skoda Sound System
05 Dynaudio Sound System
Shall I choose Volkswagen Sound System or Dynaudio Sound System? What is the difference?

You want to code it for VW Sound System. Dynaudio is only for Dynaudio equipped cars.

And what is the difference?
I have it coded to Dynaudio and I see no difference, except for Dynaudio logo upon start-up.

The sound system amplifier extends the sound range of the radio unit or radio navigation system.
The signal inputs on the amplifier are activated by the loudspeaker outputs of the radio unit or radio navigation system.
The amplifier is installed under the left front seat.

... most probably the screen logo is the difference. I don't think that the preamp output voltage level will be different or that there is a different sound menu adjustment for Dynaudio.
