Hi,

Hoping someone can help me with a couple of questions relating to the MFD2 system fitted to my golf.

Firstly, I've had a similar OEM Nav system in my last two cars (non-vw), and in both of them, when the nav is giving the audio route instructions, it automatically fades the cd/radio. However in the golf this doesnt seem to happen and it just talks over whatever is playing, which can make it very difficult to hear the instructions. I've looked in the manual and can't find an option to fade the radio/cd whilst receiving nav instructions. Clearly I can turn up the Nav volume, but this doesnt help much. Any advice from members?

Also when using the MFD for navigation, I appear to loose the ability to use the display between the speedo's to show range, fuel economy, etc. Is this the case or am I missing something?

Finally, is it possible to add, as per some of the afternarket nav system like the Naviman, points of interest like speed cameras?
