Advice on fitting Nav System to Golf MK 5 GTI
Hi,
I have just purchased a new Golf GTI 2.0 T FSI MK5 with multifunction controls on the Steering wheel
I have seen a lot of navigation systems advertised on Ebay in Europe for very reasonable prices. My problem is that I do not know how easy it is to remove my existing radio and CD system and replace with a DVD Navigation system.
For example is it necessary to install additional wiring and how does one fit the additional GPS antenna without danaging the car or affecting its appearance. It has been suggested by one seller that I need to buy a unit with part number 1KO 035 198 B or C plus a roof aerial and changeover box.
Frankly I find the whole thing very confusing and would use a professonal to install but need to know what to buy. Can anybody help please??
