Hello,everybody!

I am new to this so I need some of your help, if you please..

I have a VW RNS-510 with SW2660 (according to the seller's comments the day I bought it from him). I can't enter the secret menu in my unit to see my SW version so I have to rely on his words for it.

I want to upgrade my GPS maps, so I got 7.1 Navigation DVD.
Someone told me that 7.1 is only compatible for units with >SW3800, is this true ??

I have also read in this thread about this program that deletes the unit's HDD GPS partition from the older maps, in order to install the new ones.
Is this also compatible with my SW2660 ?? Do I have to do this before installing the new maps ??

I am sorry if these are noob questions to some people, I simply want to make sure I will have a fine working GPS tomorrow..
